Security Operations in virtual environments 

Assuria IT security software solutions are primarily agent based (for maximum integrity and operational efficiency) and in a virtual world there are huge advantages to the software agent approach. Part of the reason is because as virtual machines (VM's) dynamically move around the physical IT infrastructure, resident software agents seamlessly move with the VM, continuing to provide protection without any need for IP address resets.  

Assuria products are fully validated for use in virtual environments and in fact the Assuria test and validation environments are entirely virtualised. Given the huge range of operating platforms supported by Assuria software products (we still have a few major organisations running our software on MS Windows NT servers!) we use VMWare to enable rapid deployment of almost any operating system for product testing, validation, compatibility testing and problem resolution.

Not only do Assuria products run under VMWare, both Assuria Auditor and Assuria Log Manager have VMWare agents available, so allowing the same level of security configuration assurance, monitoring and compliance as on other platforms.
