Assuria Auditor AutoUpdate #79

Introduction

Assuria Auditor AutoUpdate #79 includes enhancements, bug fixes, and continues the roll out of inventory baseline across platforms. The update is compatible with, and suitable for application to all Assuria Auditor agents.

Inventory Baseline

This is new baseline facility to monitor changes to the server’s hardware components, which is being incrementally released by agent over a series of monthly content updates.

This month, this feature ships for the following agents:

• HPUX 11.0, 11.11, 11.23, 11.31 (PA-RISC)

• HPUX 11.23, 11.31 (Itanium)

• Novell SUSE Enterprise Linux 9 (x86)

The feature has previously shipped for the following agents:

• IBM AIX 4.3.3, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3

• Microsoft Windows 2000 (Server and Professional)

• Microsoft Windows Server 2003

• Microsoft Windows Server 2008

• Novell SUSE Enterprise Linux 10 (x86)

HP-UX patch Database

This update contains the HP-UX patch database that had to be withheld from AU#78 because of problems generated from a new format of data feed from HP.

P2P checks for Windows Server 2003

This update contains the peer-to-peer checks for Windows Server 2003 adding to the checks issued for Windows 2000 in AU#78.

Updated reports

This update contains optimized reports for the XML-based technician reports.
