Assuria is pleased to announce the availability of Assuria Auditor agent support for Red Hat Enterprise 5 Linux.

The current Assuria Auditor RHEL agent has been fully tested on RHEL 5.  Additional and updated checks have been developed and tested.

Agent details

The target platforms for this agent are Red Hat Enterprise LINUX versions 3,4 and 5 running Intel X86 / X64 architecture.

The agent has been validated on these target platforms, and the check payload tailored for them.

This Agent is a release tested to Level 1 Support (for definition see

http://www.assuria.com/platform-support-levels.htm).

The Agent “package” is in RPM format for software packages.

The agent is fully compatible with the Assuria Auditor range of products, and is managed by the Assuria Auditor Console.

The RHEL RPM available on the AssuriaOnline download area now fully supports use on RHEL 3, 4 and 5.

AutoUpdate

For any users that have upgraded existing RHEL 3 or 4 installations to RHEL 5 the next AssuriaUpdate will include some updates to bring those agents to the same level as the new RPM.

RHEL 3 /4 users

Existing users do NOT need to re-install the RHEL RPM.
