VITA 4.2.8 Web Interface

Introduction

Assuria is pleased to announce the availability of the Assuria Auditor VITA 4.2.8 release.

Enterprise wide access

Assuria Auditor VITA is the optional web interface to the Assuria Auditor Console for distributed security management.

Many organizations require a mix of central and distributed control for their security management.  The Assuria Auditor Console provides a single point of control for Assuria Auditor Agent populations, while wide area access to reports has been a manual operation, often by email or ‘home grown’ solutions. 

Assuria VITA extends access to Assuria Auditor Console across the enterprise while ensuring that all users are fully authenticated and any network traffic is encrypted using SSL. 

New features: User Roles

VITA 4.2.8 introduces user roles.  Each VITA user can be granted access rights and privileges so that they only view systems for which they are responsible.

Systems Administrators responsible for correcting security problems on systems can view Assuria Auditor reports and initiate security scans.

Relationship with Assuria Auditor VISTA

Formerly known as Assuria Auditor VISTA, VITA has been renamed to avoid any possible confusion with another product called VISTA but introduced after Assuria Auditor VISTA.  VITA is Latin / Italian meaning ‘life’.
