Console 4.2.8 Release

Introduction

Assuria is pleased to announce the availability of the Assuria Auditor Console 4.2.8 release.

 The 4.2.8 Console is functionally identical to a 4.2.5 Console with AutoUpdates to #58 installed.

New Installations

The Assuria Console 4.2.8 release is intended for new users or those users wishing to create a new installation. There are no new functionality features in the release.

Upgrade

This installation package should not be used to upgrade existing Assuria Auditor Console installations.  Application of AutoUpdates to #58 will create the 4.2.8 release for existing installations.

System requirements

Assuria Auditor Console System requirements are available at the Assuria Customer Resource Centre – AssuriaOnline – http:/www.assuriaonline.com

Platforms supported

Assuria Auditor Console 4.2.8 has been tested on:

• Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

• Microsoft Windows 2000

SQL Server version

The Assuria Console 4.2.8 release has been tested with SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2005 Express as well as SQL Server 2000 and MSDE.

SQL Server 2005 / SQL Server 2005 Express.

Transition of existing 4.2.5 Assuria Auditor Console to use SQL Server 2005 / SQL Server 2005 Express is possible.  Please contact Assuria Support for information on making the transition to SQL Server 2005.
